SPICY, LIGHTLY SMOKY, CRUSHED BLACK FRUIT Carlos Aliaga’s father planted these vines here more than 50 years ago and, being just two kilometers from Rioja, chose Tempranillo over the Garnacha that dominates southern Navarra. Here, in the heart of the Ribera Baja, he coaxes loads of berry flavor from the grapes. Just a few miles from desert land, the vines struggle in dry conditions, yielding intensely flavorful wine. Unoaked, the wine remains impeccably vibrant and fresh! Serving Suggestions: Pork off the charcoal grill w/ charred bits. Marinated skirt steak w/ grilled onions & roasted peppers. Black bean burritos w/ rice, cheese, & guacamole.
