For many living in NC, Anton Bauer’s "Gmörk" (now "Gmirk") served as their inaugural Grüner. As Austrian wine has exploded into popularity stateside, prices have understandably not remained static, but this delightful Grüner cuvée (Grüvée) brings us back down to earth and kicks it old-school Österreich with the kind of awesome value that we recall from almost bygone days. Serving Suggestion: Smoked trout omelettes w/ dill, scallions, crème fraîche, & lemon. Thin crusted pesto & goat cheese pizza w/ sundried tomatoes.
