The Barou estate in the Northern Rhône has been biodynamic and organic since 1975, producing cherries, apricots, and peaches as well as wines like this beautiful, bright red. These grapes are grown on the steep slopes of the northernmost part of the appellation, where some of the best expressions of Saint-Joseph come from. Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in old oak barrels, this Syrah is brimming with dark, vivid fruits and lively spice.
Serving Suggestion: Beef or pork sausage w/ panfried potatoes, onions, & parsley. Grilled rosemary & black pepper lamb chops. Grilled balsamic eggplant.
