Binissalem was the first officially designated wine region off of the Spanish mainland and is the center of winemaking in the Balearic Islands. Mantonegro, indigenous to Mallorca, is the most widely planted grape on the island. With only 7,500 of these bottles produced with the product of vines planted in 1958 this wine is an exotic and rare treat offering notes of wild berries, a touch of salinity, Mediterranean herbs, spices, and elegant complexity.
Serving Suggestion: Grilled chicken thighs w/ smoked paprika & cumin, pan-fried pork wrapped in cabbage leaves w/ apricots, pine nuts, & raisins.
