Chateau Loupiac-Gaudiet, Loupiac, Bordeaux, France 2020 (500 ml)
80% Semillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc (Botrytis Infected)
AROMATIC, LIGHTLY SWEET, EARTHY, GOLDEN RAISIN
Ooo, the golden color! The aromatic nose! The hypnotic richness of Botrytis infected grapes! This is Loupiac wine from the Bordeaux region. At a fraction of the price, Loupiac offers similar flavors and characteristics of the more famous Sauternes dessert wine. Located along the Garonne river, the morning mist creates the perfect environment for Noble Rot. This Botrytis Cinéréa mold sucks the moisture from the grapes and leaves concentrated sugar and flavors behind. Typical flavors of golden raisin, orange marmalade, with light mushroom and earth on the finish.
Serving Suggestion: Best with Foie Gras, påté and firm cheeses or with fruit desserts like mixed berries with vanilla custard.
