Laudun is, perhaps, a lesser-known corner of the Southern Rhône’s right bank, but its proximity to Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Tavel is telling, and the quality offered by its stony terroir is exceptional. This robust rosé isn’t quite as dense (or dark) as those of Tavel, but its enthusiastic ripeness is reminiscent, and its Cinsault-dominated composition imbues it with wonderful brightness, lively acidity, and impeccable balance.
Serving Suggestions: Oven-roasted Spanish mackerel w/ dill, coriander, & tabouleh w/ briny olives & grape tomatoes. Fresh figs & creamy goat’s milk cheeses (perhaps w/ lavender & fennel).
