HONEYSUCKLE, APRICOT, GRANITIC MINERALITY, DRY & RACY Anselmo Mendes, a native of Monção in northwest Portugal, is passionate about both his vineyards and the native varietals that inhabit them. He shares with the world’s most conscientious vignerons the tenet that quality wine is created in the vineyard, marrying each grape variety with the section of land that best compliments it. This is a remarkably complex wine with focused mineral, elegantly lean fruit, and unrelenting acidity. Serving Suggestion: Sardinhas assadas (chargrilled sardines) w/ olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, & shallots. Spicy Vietnamese vermicelli w/ shellfish, mint, & lemongrass.
