Soave and its signature grape, Garganega, produce some of northern Italy’s most distinctive, delicious wines. While the Soave Classico zone has long been celebrated as the epicenter of Verona’s most exciting whites, the quality-to-price ratio has prevented some wine-lovers from discovering (or rediscovering) how characterful and rewarding these wines are. Monte Tondo provides us with some of our very favorite renditions, and these absolutely archetypal ambassadors for the area remain rather reasonably priced. Cin cin!
