{sustainable, in organic conversion} 80% Sémillion, 20% Muscadelle
HONEY & CANDIED CITRUS. BALANCED, RIPE, & PRETTY
This sweet white wine comes from vineyards that trace back to an 11th Century Benedictine monastery. The steep valleys here on the left bank of the Dordogne trap humidity and morning mists, encouraging noble rot in the grapes. Less well-known than Sauternes (and so a much better value!), it’s also juicer and less unctuous. This golden blend delivers exotic, floral aromas, honeyed flavors, lovely acidity, and a long finish.
Serving Suggestion: A legendary pairing with foie gras. Stellar w/ spicy Asian dishes. Cheeses like aged Gouda, Roquefort, or Bleu Auvergne. Citrus sorbet, orange flan, or pecan pie.
