Well, this is one juicy and exotic little puppy. The Rueda Pérez family started their winery in 2002 following three generations as growers selling their grapes to other producers. Each selection is from a different single vineyard, which gives it distinct flavor characteristics. This cuvée, from the Burón vineyard, is perhaps the most focused, accessible, and fruit-oriented. File, perhaps, not far from Sauvignon Blanc but with the tropicality dialed up a notch. SWAK!
Serving Suggestions: Octopus, eel, shrimp, potato, & caramelized onion salad (à la Meson Tio Macario). Fried oyster mushrooms.
