Seresin, Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand 2022
{biodynamic} 100% Pinot Noir

WILD CHERRY & LINGONBERRY, INDIGO & SLATE
Michael Seresin, Cinematographer and Old World enthusiast, returned to New Zealand at the top of the 1990s after two-and-a-half decades in Europe, working in film and falling increasingly in love with wine. Focusing on the varieties of France’s northeasterly regions (Burgundy, Alsace, Upper-Loire, Northern Rhone), the estate biodynamically crafts eloquent, classically-structured wines. Pinot Noir is the crowning jewel, expressing itself through the vineyards’ diverse mesoclimates. The “Leah” is chiseled and delicate with vibrant, crimson fruit, darkly floral spice, and wet stone.
Serving Suggestions: Mushroom-Gruyere lamburger & fried green tomatoes w/ balsamic mayonnaise. Japanese-inspired risotto w/ chanterelles, maitakes, shiitake dashi, & egg furikake.
