Santa Ynez Valley’s Stolpman focuses largely on the grapes of France’s Rhone Valley. In fact, one of the estate’s vineyards is a life-sized monument to Cote Rotie. Less massive than some of the estate’s signature wines but still with plenty of meat on its bones, this powerful Italo-Franco Cali red is very satisfying. All profits of this wine at Stolpman go to their full-time vineyard crew!
Serving Suggestion: Spicy and sweet Bourbon pepper steak with crispy frites seasoned with rosemary. Silky and rich, this also makes for a cozy and comforting cocktail wine on its own.
