International Grenache Day (the third Friday of each September) might not top your list of holidays, but we’re here to set that right.
And! We’re absolutely not satisfied with a single day to honor the generously spicy, violet-hued, extra-extroverted variety and its equally expressive, lighter skinned mutations, so once again…GRENACHE PACK! For over a decade, we’ve annually unleashed a Grenache-tastic care package to celebrate the great grape, which sprang up in Spain as many as eight centuries years ago. This year’s iteration is overflowing with outstanding offerings from the Southern Rhone, Navarra, Aragón (the variety’s birthplace!), and the Languedoc.
