Rich, elegant, clean and bracing: everything a great Riesling should be. Overlooking the Rhine River, the sloping vineyards soak up precious sunlight reflected off the water. The result is a small amount of excellent fruit, hand-selected and hand-harvested. The Bischofsberg is home to rich sedimentary soil with broad areas of slate (and the Nägler ostrich farm), yielding a wine with zesty acidity and intense minerality; rich and refreshing, brimming with tropical fruit, flowers, and the perfect amount of sweetness.
Serving suggestion: Spicy vegetable fried rice with crispy tofu, scrambled (ostrich?) egg and a drizzle of Sriracha. Tempeh tacos with heirloom tomato.
