Americano Rosso (Aperitivo)
Antica Erboristeria Cappelletti
Trento, Alto Adige, Italy NV
CITRUS & HERBS, GENTLE SWEETNESS, PLEASANTLY BITTER
Perhaps one of the oldest wine-based aperitifs, Cappelletti hails from Trento in Italy’s Alpine north and has been made by the same family for over 4 generations. Less sweet than other aperitivi, it’s typically enjoyed over ice with a splash of soda and an orange wheel. It’s referred to as Specialino by the locals and is about as ubiquitous a happy hour libation in the Treveneto as Prosecco!
Serving Suggestion: In place of Campari in a Negroni or Boulevardier, or mixed w/ a farmhouse ale or radler. Believe it or not, w/ cold brew coffee & club soda!
